External Excursion to Shillong 2019

The journey had started from our school from 7.05 am on 02-06-2019. We had planned our journey for 6 days but due to General Strike called by Kuki Students Organisation(K.S.O), it was extended one more day i.e upto 08-06-2019. We reached Shillong on 03-06-2019 around 4.oo am but we checked in the Youth Hostel, Shillong at around 11 am in between that time we went to Shillong Golf Course, it was very charming and scenery. After checked in we had our lunch at around 11.45 am.

            On the second day at Shillong i.e on 04-06-19, after finishing breakfast we left our youth hostel at 7.30 am for Chirapunjee side. We visited five places on this side. But unluckily as there  was dense could , we cannot see the beautiful waterfalls and very charming Scenery expect for Eco Park , Shillong which was breath taking Scenery. We had entered Mawsami Cave which is about 80m long and very interesting and adventurous.

            On the third day i.e 05-06-2019 , we had visited Dawki (Cleanest water, Bangladesh Border) and Mawlanong Village (Cleanliest Village In Asia). We left Shillong at 8.05am for Dwaki which is nearly 230km away from Shillong. We hired another Bus from Shillong as our bus is not suitable to the roads for Dawki. We reached border area at around 12.00 noon. We saw the gates of India and Bangladesh. If we did not came here our journey  would not be complete. The Waterfalls and Sceneries were amazing. There was boating facilities in the Dwaki River also. Then we left for Mawlanong Village, where there was dustbin for every 15m and we had our lunch there. The Living Root Bridge also visited.

We left youth Hostel, Shillong on 06/06/2019 at 5.45 am reached Guwahati at 8.30am. We visited Guwahati Zoo( Kaziranga National park), Fancy Bazar at Guwahati and left for home at 4.45 pm on this day at Silchar line.

We reached Jiribam at 4.30 am on 07/06/2019 . But due to the General Strike of Manipur called by Kuki Students Organisation (K.S.O).We stayed at Jiribam and requested our beloved DC, Jiribam Shri Robert Kshetrimayum to provide necessary food items ( Rice Bag, Chicken 10 Kg, 5 Kg dal etc).

On 08-06-2019, we left Jiribam at 5.45 am and reached our school at 6.35 pm safely.
